Embrace what you are going through, embrace the wisdom you are gaining from the experience. I am here for you, and I am carrying you through your circumstances. Remember, it’s just a test, and from each test comes greater strength and an increase in your anointing. The circumstances you face are nothing for Me to handle. Can I not do miracles? Can I not put money in your bank account today? Can I not heal you of that ailment? You know I can. Embrace this change and give thanks in all things, for all things are working for your good.

In your eyes, things might look as if nothing is happening; however, I am ever moving and working things out on your behalf. Many times what I am doing is unseen and unknown until it is time to unveil it to you. If I let you see too much, too soon you would try to touch it, or help Me out. And, we all know what happens when My people try to help Me out, don’t we? Therefore, I work in the background, making things according to My will. Even at this hour, I am working. I know you cannot tell it, but I am.

The thought has crossed your mind to give up. Shh! Be quiet.  Don’t start the new year focusing on your failures. Your thoughts remain too long on the failures. It’s good to recognize failure and learn from it but do it quickly. Then take your thoughts captive to the blessings you have. It is in your best interest to stop worrying and fretting and start putting your trust in Me.

This isn’t the first time the thought of giving up has crossed your mind.  However, I am telling you, “don’t give up. I know lately, it has been hard and circumstances have been almost debilitating, but don’t give up. I am aware of everything you’ve gone through. You heard it said you will become what you focus on. Beloved, this is true. So now focus on Me and the times I brought you through to success.

When My Heart is Overwhelmed
Provides Daily Words to Comfort, Inspire, and Find Joy through Christ

The devotional is minister and author Shearon Hurst’s third work, delivering daily spiritual guidance to those facing difficult times

For over 20 years, Shearon Hurst has ministered to a wide range of people, encouraging them to walk with the Lord. And now, in her third devotional book release, Shearon will continue to share words that encourage, strengthen, and draw readers into a more intimate relationship with Him, even in the most difficult of times.

When My Heart is Overwhelmed (13.99, paperback, 4.99, e-book] is Shearon’s third devotional, following the publications of Shh! God is Trying to Tell You Something: Speak Lord, I’m Listening and Where Peaceful Waters Flow: Devotions to Help you Dwell in the Presence of the Lord [both available on Amazon]. Shearon’s latest effort delivers 365 days of inspirational, comforting, and joyful words designed to shed light on the path that the Lord has laid before us, guiding readers through turbulent times.

The inspiration for Shearon’s current and past works was born from years of walking and talking with Christ in both her personal life and professional life.  Daily conversations with the Lord searching for answers to the various trials and tribulations in her life, led the Holy Spirit to speak prophetic words to Shearon, which moved her to share these messages of love, hope, devotion, inspiration, and joy with those who seek to be closer to the Lord and grow stronger in their faith.

Shearon sees her devotional as an interactive work that she hopes will inspire action in those who read it along with the Bible. “As readers take in the words that this inspirational devotional provides, my hope is that they will take the time to stop and search the scripture and reflect while allowing the “Still Small Voice” to minister to them. By allowing the Holy Spirit to speak to them through the messages in this devotional, readers can find comfort and inspiration to devote more time in walking and talking with the Lord while encouraging others to do the same,” said Shearon.

Shearon sees her new devotional as a must-have for anyone looking to grow closer to the Lord, but especially for those who may need comfort in the face of difficult times. By reading the messages in this devotional and trusting in the Lord, readers can discover the path that the Lord wishes them to take to overcome adversity.

When My Heart is Overwhelmed is available online in both paperback and e-book formats on Amazon. To learn more about Shearon or to purchase When My Heart is Overwhelmed or her previous devotionals, visit https://amzn.to/35MCgGm.

I speak to those who have been in the pit so long that you accept your position as normal living.  It’s not normal.  Therefore, stop sinking into the mire of self-pity and condemnation.  Today is a new day. A fresh start has begun. Refuse to allow stress to rule your life.  So, leave all fear, failure, and disappointment behind you and begin again.

Come into peace and rest knowing that I will cause you to progress according to My will as you yield to My purposes.  Don’t now rethink what you started. Don’t look back or wonder if the timing was right. Don’t look to the right or left to see if anyone else is doing what you’re doing, and don’t worry about your enemies. Keep your eyes on the path before you.

Look not to your circumstances as any measure of your worth or ability.  Look up and behold My face, for I will draw you up and set your feet in a broad place.  You are precious in My sight. Trust Me; let Me lead you and remember; it’s never too late to begin again.

Isa 43:18-19  Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert

Psa. 118:24  This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.

Pro. 4:25-27 Look straight ahead, and fix your eyes on what lies before you. Mark out a straight path for your feet; stay on the safe path.  Don’t get sidetracked; keep your feet from following evil.

Psa. 31:8  And hast not shut me up into the hand of the enemy: thou hast set my feet in a large room.

If you feel like you are living in a war zone, be of good cheer. The heat is on because the enemy knows he has lost the battle. Hallelujah! If he thought he was winning, he would remain dormant so that he could keep controlling things. However, because he is coming on strong, it shows that he is panicking and doing all he can to try to wear you down. Don’t fear, because if you weren’t such a threat to the enemy, he wouldn’t bother you.
The enemy sees the anointing on your life. He knows how valuable you are to the Lord, and he’s scared.  Everything the enemy is doing is working against him and working towards the culmination of God’s perfect plan and purpose for you. You think by now the enemy would have learned that all he is doing is bringing us closer to the Lord, but I guess he’s just not that smart huh?
I know what you are going through is not comfortable; sometimes it’s downright painful. However, didn’t I say in this world you would have tribulation? But, if you remember, I also told you that I had already overcome the world. These are the things you must remember when you come against hard times. All that you are going through is preparing you for the blessing that’s coming your way.
So, rejoice, the victory is yours.  The enemy knows he has lost the fight, and that’s why he’s mad. But who cares about him being mad? Your only concern is pleasing Me. Sing Hallelujah to the Lamb who sits on the throne, for I am on our side. Rejoice in the Lord.  You got the victory.

I am the same yesterday, today and forever. Therefore, when things seem completely beyond your ability, come back to Me; the Rock of your faith. When everything seems to be spinning out of control, I am your place of peace.  Come into My presence to receive healing and restoration from the demands on your time and energy. Lay it all down. Trust Me for wisdom and direction and I will point the way in which you should go.

My Child, don’t be pressured into doing everything all at once.  Seek for wisdom; pace yourself and take things one day at a time. Be strong in faith as you move from one thing to the next.  Lay it all down and lean on Me.  I am your source of life and strength.  Resist the temptation to try to use natural remedies to fix a spiritual condition. If you’re not sure, seek Me first. Yes, seek Me and you will find solace and directions for the next step.
